Thyroid issues: Your problem has no age limit. Graves disease can start in young individuals like yourself. Those 'old' people may have other problems, like diabetes and other issues that the endocrinologist also treats.

You are overreacting: You are over reacting.You have graves disease with a goiter and rapid heart beat.You have Hyperthyroidism and radioactive iodine is the correct treatment as you have been treated with medications Propylthiouracil.propanolol and carbimazole
