Knee pain & swelling: Osgood-schlatter is most commonly found in active adolescents. It is caused by the repeated overuse of the knee before the area has finished growing. The main symptoms include: a painful swelling or tenderness over a bump on the lower leg bone (shinbone) in one or both legs and leg or knee pain exacerbated by activities like running, jumping or climbing the stairs.
