Stretch, stretch and: Stretch. Osgood-schlatter is a condition involving a portion of the tibial growth plate at the insertion of the patellar tendon. It resolves when the growth plates close. If the age you listed is correct, it is unlikely to be true osgood-schlatter disease. There are associated adult conditions that include tendinitis that may be causing pain. See an orthopaedist if you are concerned.

Childhood pathology: Osgood schlatter occurs in children that are still growing. The only thing to make the pain go away is to rest which is extremely difficult in this age group.
