Depends: Was the steroid shot for a particular diagnosis or general pain complaints? When you do not feel better, perhaps the diagnosis needs to be clarified, and the anti-inflammatory treatment options need to be reconsidered. Your menstrual cycle and your hormone status may need to be taken into consideration. Try tylenol/acetaminophen, heat and stretch for your joints until you see your physician.

See a physician: These are very non-specific complaints but could indicate problems ranging from disc disease with nerve impingement to more inflammatory problems like spondylitis or other problems seek the advice of a rheumatologist for better delineation of the cause.
