Your decision, but: You may want to ask him the status of his medical license, and think about how you feel about his situatioon. It's difficult to know how to feel about your doctor violating the law. If you don't feel comfortable continuing with him then, yes, seek someone else for treatment. Often when psychiatrists are disciplined with a fine, they are still allowed to practice, but are supervised closely.

Discuss with him: If he is still practicing, he must not have lost his license. It is your decision how to proceed. Suggest you ask him what happened and make a decision.
