Gait: Your gait is the way you walk or run. This involves a movement chain from feet up through hips. Changes in your shoes can change the movement of your feet as they progress through the phases of gait. This can change the position and movement of your knee and knee cap leading to malpositioning and compression on intolerant tissue.

Feet and Knees: Of course, it will slightly depend on the knee we are talking about. Gait is the way we walk or run. It is the summation of motion, and our attempt to make it smooth, stress free, energy efficient. When i watch someone walk, i look for forces that could cause the knee to hurt. When you change what you wear on your feet, you affect the forces that go through the knees, hips, and back.
