Normal: When you sneeze it causes a sudden sometimes almost violent motion. This pulls at surgery sites and the healing tissues there. You feel it as severe pain. If you can feel it coming on, you can hug a pillow over the operative site to reinforce from the motion. You can also wear a support such as an athletic supporter or abdominal binder.
