Diverticulitis: Most people develop colon diverticuli (outpouchings of the wall of the bowel) as they age. When these become inflamed it is called diverticulitis and can produce pain, diarrhea, sometimes blood in the stools.

Abdominal pain : Diverticulitis, an infection or inflammation of small pouches in the lining of the bowel , especially the large intestine , causes fairly severe abdominal pain esp on the lower left side , fever, nausea ,blood in stool , constipation and occasional diarrhea .Complications include abscess, blockage of the bowel from scarring ,or a fistula , with another organ or peritonitis from a burst pouch
