Brown papilla: If they've always been like that, then i'd not worry about it. If the color is the only thing you worry but no other symptoms are present, watchful observation should suffice for now. If something else is happening, see doc.

Most color changes are nothing to worry about. If you are worried, go see your doctor to have screening bloodworm - check for liver, kidney, thyroid disorders, and anemia. Add a multivitamin to your daily diet.

See a dentist: Do you brush your tongue? It's important to brush your tongue after you brush your teeth to remove and disturb the bacteria on your tongue. If you don't remove the bacteria, they can stain your papillae on your tongue. Brown stains/color can be from smoking. If you are concerned, see a dentist.
