Common sense: Body mass index (bmi) is calculated from a person's weight and height. Bmi is a relative reliable indicator of body fatness for most people. For example though, arnold schwarzenegger had an elevated bmi when he was mr universe and probably had less than 1% body fat. Using common sense though, if your bmi is high, and you are overweight, it's important to try and eat healthier and lose weight.
