A member asked:

Urine culture neg. no uti, but uti pain. pelvic, vaginal pain. urgency, frequency, etc. on many antibiotics, toviaz, (fesoterodine) & pain meds. would you suspect ic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The diagnosis of interstitial cystitis is often made in someone who is repeatedly having symptoms of a UTI but the urine culture fails to grow bacteria. If you have pain, frequency, urgency and have used those meds it is time to visit the urologist for further testing.
