Stomatitis: Stomatitis is a very general term that means an inflammation in your mouth and from your description this is more likely than cancer. Cancer is painless in the early stages. See you doctor and find out what is going on so you can get the treatment needed to feel better.

Don't fear the worst: See your dentist for a definitive diagnosis. There are so many possibilities and almost all of them are not serious and easily treated. Your symptoms do not suggest a cancerous lesion to me. The quickest way to feel better and allay your fears is to see your dentist.
