Domestic abuse: Regardless of what has made your mom sick, you have no control over it. Whenever alcohol is involved, a person's behavior can become dangerous. It's important you have a safety plan: determine a safe place you can run to in case mom's behavior becomes dangerous. Pack a small bag of necessities that you can grab quickly to take with you. In meantime, support your mom 100% in any help she pursues.
