Day 14: Clomid (clomiphene) is usually prescribed to be taken days 3-7 or 5-9 after your period started. Usually you will ovulate around day 14. If you don't ovulate on the first cycle of Clomid (clomiphene), your doctor may increase the dose. The idea is to find the lowest dose of Clomid (clomiphene) that will make you ovulate. Most women who conceive on Clomid (clomiphene) will do so in 6 ovulatory cycles. If not, you may need a different medication
