Itchy allergic rash: This is a chronic condition often with a family history of allergies where the skin is very dry and often itches and becomes inflammed and perhaps infected. This starts in childhood and be chronic. Treatments with barrier repair creams and topical medications is necessary to control symptoms. Identifying underlying factors such as food sensitivity or contact allergy can help treatment.
