How long before i can eat after tooth extraction?

When no bleeding: Wait until the bleeding has stopped before you eat anything. Then only have soft foods for the first few days. Follow the instructions you were given when you had the extraction. Call the dentist if you have concerns.

Follow instructions: Your own dentist knows best about your post operative instructions based upon your specific circumstances. Generally speaking, i advise my patients to wait until all numbness is gone and there is no longer any bleeding. This is usually for 3-4 hours following the extraction.
