Best to be seen: These things although not typical, do happen. It may or may not warrant any further treatment. Only the surgeon who performed the procedure, after seeing it in person can answer your questions. Call the office, explain what you see and feel and ask whether or not he\she wants you to come in right away or wait until your next scheduled visit.

Don't Panic !: It is still very early in the healing period. I'm not sure what you mean by 'dent', but i suspect you believe the defect size is still large? Keep in mind that the bone graft take months to solidify. Depending on the membrane used, if you can keep it clean, you may be ok. If there is swelling, pain, or pus, the graft is infected and will need to be removed and re-done. Good luck !

Yes w-TeflonMembrane: Certain membranes, especially removable ptfe (teflon) can be visible after placement and there could be a slight differential in height (indented are) where it is placed. However, other membranes such a collagen or titanium mesh are meant to be fully covered by skin until the bone graft fully integrates with the body. If you have any questions about the appearance of your membrane consult w-dds.
