Tea can stain: Black tea can stain teeth and everyone differs in how much this happens. So try to limit the amount of tea you drink. Drink more water, this is better than too much caffeine.

I agree w Dr. Eleczko. If you really desire to drink tea- encourage the healthier varieties - green, red & white tea.

Black tea: Coffee and tea can cause external staining of teeth, but do not change the actual color of teeth. Brushing properly after drinking these liquids limits the staining. It's also dependent upon the frequency of use. A dentist can always professionally clean your teeth and remove the staining.
