Both ...: There are many causes of pregnancy loss, some are genetic - blood clotting disorders, rare genetic abnormalities(translocations). Some women are born with a uterine abnormality. Other causes are acquired - fibroids, polyps, abnormal antibodies (autoimmunity). Lifestyle factors: smoking, sexually transmitted infections and genetics can lower your egg supply (ovarian reserve).
