Treat cause: Encephalopathy is a non specific term that refers to brain impairment or delirium. It is caused by a number of things ranging from drug intoxication, to failure of other organs like kidney failure, to brain disorders like tumors, or infections. Treatment varies depending on the cause and is directed at correcting the underlying problem.

Due to what?: Encephalopathy means damage to the brain and its functioning. There are numerous causes for this. Some are direct and others affect the brain by metabolic changes due to disease occurring elsewhere. Examples include infection, kidney failure, liver failure, vitamin deficiencies, drugs taken for other reasons, etc. You must know why the encephalopathy is occurring to answer this meaningfully.

Depends: If you fell of the truck bed & your brain was injured, they would try to put you back together & keep you comfortable. Damaged nerves would die & your life would be impaired. If you worked in a lead smelter & had lead accumulate in your brain, causing encephalopathy, they might be able to remove the lead with meds & get you better
