OB and Ankle Doc: A broken ankle is an injury that needs to be addressed. The doctor evaluating it should take into account that you are pregnant. The initial xrays will need to be taken with precautions due to your pregnancy. However, depending on the severity, if the injury needs surgery then it becomes a discussion between the foot/ankle specialist and your ob/gyn.
