What is the probablity of a 80 year old woman surviving a chest cancer removal operation?

Depends...: ...On how fit the woman is, how extensive the proposed surgery is. If she is a marathon runner with no health issues and surgery is uncomplicated, she would have a very high survival rate. If she is wheel-chair bound with multiple health issues, the surgeon would likely shy away from attempting any significant procedure.

Depends: Octogenarians can tolerate chest surgery quite well, if there are no major medical conditions. Age alone is not a huge risk factor, depending on overall health. The thoracic group at johns hopkins published their experience a while back.
