"In love"v "loving"?: Being "in love" may be quite frequent for a person who is diagnosed as bpd. The difficult part is loving and being loved. The intensity of being in love may feel just fine. It is the consistency and trust and patience and toleration of love that feels alien to many bpd people. If you can remain in the relationship through problems, stay compassionate and maintain respect for each other, it's love.

Love: Always be aware of your longings as they can mislead you easily when it comes to love. Also it is quite easy to fall in love but to really love another person we need to have a degree of acceptance of ourselves and we must work out our own personal problems to maintain intimacy. Best.
