Can you please tell me, should a colonoscopy show everything a stool test would?

The two tests: Can be complimentary and there may be some overlap but each test has the potential to show something the other does not detect. It really depends on what you mean by "stool test", there are many kinds of stool tests.

No: A colonoscopy is looking at the lining of your colon. This can be abnormal in a number of conditions that would manifest in the stool in different ways. Stool tests and colonoscopy are complimentary when trying to evaluate loose stools or stools that have changed in consistency.
