Not if done well: Botox causes muscles it is injected into to temporarily weaken or cease to function. If done judiciously and correctly, it can soften or eliminate wrinkles and give you a more youthful and rested appearance. If used excessively or incorrectly it can affect muscles needed for facial expression. This can lead to the "plastic" look. Consult an experienced plastic surgeon for your treatment.

No: Botox paralyzes muscles that it is injected into. If a lot is used, you can get a "frozen" forehead, for example. If less is used, or if it is done carefully, you can have a very natural and acceptable result that is not "plastic" looking.

Not when done well: When Botox is injected in a conservative manner to allow some natural motion while reducing wrinkle formation, the results are almost never "plastic". Some patients request zero motion of the treated muscles. Sometimes this can lead to a plastic look. Find a facial plastic surgeon who is an experienced injector with a good aesthetic eye and you should have no problems.
