Viral illness: That is what this sounds like superficially. You do not say how old your son is. If less than 12 months, go to er. If older and cannot hold anything down, go to er. If temp gets much higher or develops new symptoms, go to er. Otherwise you can probably just provide supportive symptomatic care. If, however, you have any doubts, go to er.

Yes: While the fever is troubling, it is not a serious issue. However if the vomiting continues, dehydration may occur and that can make your son very ill. If this continues, you need to get him to a doctor.
