Evaluation Needed: You could have early stages of arthritis to bone spur to just normal anatomical anomaly. If it persists and swells or pain increases, then you may want to at least get an evaluation to determine why it hurts when running.

Many things: Are possible with activity. Rice or rest, ice, compression and elevation first and if that doesn't help see podiatrist for diagnosis and treatment. May need x-ray or MRI to diagnose.
