Need to see a doctor: Please take your baby to the doctor. Uti's in boys are quite unusual. You will probably need to see a pediatric urologist. Also expect renal and bladder ultrasound, and probably a test called a VCUG (voiding cystourethrogram).

See a ped urologist: I am the pediatrician who helped write the AAP guidelines on urinary tract infections. You didn't say if your son was circumcised or not. An uncircumcised male has three times the chance of having an UTI. However, it doesn't matter. Even a single urinary tract infection in any male, particularly in any child, male or female, under two yrs old, must be evaluated by ultrasound and VCUG.
