More info needed.: If you are pregnant, and your pelvic ultrasound is negative (absent pregnancy sac in uterus), a d and c is indicated to check for the presence or absence of pregnancy tissue (chorionic villi) in your uterus. If pregnancy tissue is not found in the cavity of your uterus, you may have an ectopic pregnancy, which is a potentially dangerous medical condition.
