A member asked:

I have had eustachian tube dysfunction for over a month with constant ringing/buzzing in my ears and periods of pressure. does this ever go away?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eustachian Tube Prob: Yes, eustachian tube dysfunction varies with the amount of swelling of the membranes lining the tube. Irritants, like acid reflux, allergies and changes in the weather are common reasons for eustachian tube dysfunction. A recent head cold leads the list. Try to gently clear your ears by blowing your nose with your mouth closed. This should not hurt - if it does you are blowing too hard.
