Nerve compression: Is a possibility, one must find the level of the compression. Can be local as in neuroma or higher up like in the back. Systemic disease like diabetes is a possibility. Sometimes, docs can't find the cause. Either what get checked out early. You want to try and correct this before it gets worse.

Numb toes: Can be caused by many things. Diabetes can cause, nerve entrapment, neuroma and others. Best to consult your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
