Check vitamins: Mthfr gene is involved in folate (folic acid) metabolism and vitamins b12, b6, and b2 are utilized in the process. You have 2 different mutations- c677t and a12987- which have different affects on folate (folic acid) and lead to different conditions. C677t is associated with clots and cardiovascular disease but a1298c is associated with abnormal neurotransmitter production. Check vitamin levels and consider taking 5-mthf.
