What is erosive osteoarthritis as compared with just oa?

Great Question: In general, the hallmark finding of any type of arthritis is a loss of cartilage in the joint. Standard osteoarthritis (oa) is associated with cysts, sclerosis, loss of joint space and osteophytes, but there is not usually any bone loss. Other types of arthritis, particularly psoriatic arthritis will have less of the changes mentioned above and more loss of bone in addition to damaged cartilage.

Arthritis: Same thing, just a different way of saying it. Osteoarthritis erodes the joints and erosive arthritis describes the same thing.Osteoarthritis.
