OTC or doctor visit: There are several otc products which you can check out and try. Some home remedies such as duct-tape, potato's sap etc...May help some folks. If these fail, consult your doc who may be able to give you prescription med or remove them in the office... Good luck.

Foot warts: Plantar warts, are an infection by wart virus of epidermal cells of the bottom of the feet. The skin here is very thick and the warts are difficult to treat. Some warts can press against nerve endings and hurt like having a pebble in your shoe. You can try over the counter wart liquids, that contain mild acids, but you may have to see a dermatologist. Warts are not very contagious any may go away.

Several treatments.: You can try over the counter wart removers, but be careful: i've seen them do more harm than good. Other options your doctor might offer include cryotherapy (freezing the wart), electrocautery (burning the wart), laser treatment, or several different topical chemical treatments. If the treatment is typically uncomfortable, your doctor can numb the area before proceeding.

To do or not to do: I can tell you what not to do: that is to do nothing. The sooner you begin treating warts the better.
