Family history: It is important for your doctor to know your family history.In this instance your hematuria is not related to cf. You could have a problem with calcium kidney stones, hyperparathyroidism or renal tubular acidosis. See your internist for evaluation and help.

Hello Doctors, Can you tell me how many late diagnosis of cystic fibrosis are in the United States every year, like in the mid 30's? Is it common or uncommon? What would lead to the diagnosis? Would you have had to have had illness your whole life?
How common is it to be diagnosed for the first time at age 36 with Cystic Fibrosis? My son complains of light discomfort in RUQ for 18 months, CBC/Urine all good. Never sickly as child, would it show in bloods? He notices a quick wrinkling in hands?
Is gallbladder disease common with Cystic Fibrosis? If so, would numbers be off on a CBC/Urine test? Also, what would symptoms be. Would it be actual pain like a gallbladder attack or just constant minor pressure in RUQ for well over a year?
What would the synptoms of adult onset cystic fibrosis be? And would it be likely at my age. Even worth asking my doc about?
