A sweat test may be helpful since the CF panel only screens for a certain number of defects associated with CF. Watch for signs of shortness of breath and please follow up with your physician. A nutrition consult is also recommended.

I eat flour tortillas or country biscuits and my body flares up. I get flush, my heart rate kicks up and I have hemorrhoids that push out and spray blood during bowel movements. Doctor tests say no celiac disease or Crohns. What else could it be?
A friend just had the Cystic Fibrosis gene mutation blood panel done for 23 most common plus 9 rare mutations of CF, 32 total, all negative. Does this mean he is CF free and can safely have a child? I'm curious as to what these results actually mean?

Calprotectin is 71, ulcers in small bowel on pillcam, autoimmune symptoms, IBD blood work had elevated levels but didn't confirm. Is this treatable yet? Sister has crohns.
