Lhermitte phenomenon: Is a transient sensory symptom described as an electric shock radiating down the spine or into the limbs w/ flexion (forward movement) of the neck, but can occur with the least movement of the head or neck. Most frequently encountered in ms, can also be seen with other lesions of the cervical cord ( tumors, cervical disc herniation, myelopathy and following trauma).
