AMH : You can test for anothe hormone , more precise then a day 3 fsh called "anti mullerian hormone "(amh). Amh can be tested at any day of the cycle. It is one of the best marker for ovarian "aging". The level of amh correlates well with the number of eggs that are left in the ovary. Although there could be different reasons for amenorrhea , premature ovarian insufficiency (failure)need to be excluded.
