Pain: Severe cramps are common, but can be treated... Don't suffer, go and see your doctor... There are options.

See gynecologist: Really severe cramps may not be normal. They may be caused endometriosis, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, or cervical stenosis. Please see your gynecologist for evaluation.

See a doctor: Severe cramps can certainly be managed better than you are describing. Although this can often occur even with a normal exam, it could also be a symptom of a more serious problem.
