Blood in stool: If the stool was particularly hard and large, this could cause a small tear in the anus tissue causing some bleeding. Blood is not normally seen -- indicates something is not right. If the above doesn't apply, would see pediatrician. May still want to see pediatrician to treat constipation though there are plenty of home remedies to try.

Blood in stool: Hard, rocky stool is one of the causes when we see streak of blood by the side of hard stool. If blood mixed watery of semi-loose stool, can be viral cause. Sometimes kids drink red colored juice and stool looks red. Rectal or colonic polyp can cause bloody stool, bright red or dark. Painless large bloody stool is a surgical cause in 2 year. Keep an eye, see her pediatrician if any worsening.
