Yes: Can be many things. From thrush(fungal infection)to a pre cancerous lesion. Most likely not but best to have checked. Most people do not have enough room in their mouths for wisdom teeth. If tissue around tooth keeps getting irritated it could cause this reaction. Even though they have erupted and are "in" mouth this is yet another reason to remove them before 20 years old.

Yes : Best to have any "lump", "bump", discoloration or change in your oral mucosa persisting for a few weeks evaluated by a clinician. You have what can be clinically described as leukoplakia. Leukoplakia can be due to several different underlying issues and external causes. Having an annual oral cancer screening is also something wise to have performed - as an additional recommendation.
