A member asked:

Is it normal to have really sore, achy calf muscles in the middle of the night? it lasts about an hour or two almost every night. 37 weeks pregnant.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: Due to structural posture changes during pregnancy, you use your calf muscles differently while pregnant, causing charlie horse spasms. Stay well hydrated, some will have some relief with warm packs on their legs before bed. Pillow between your legs. You can eat bananas if you like them, but this is not a potassium issue. You are almost done. Hang in there.
