Rise is important: More so than the actual number of your HCG is how fast it's rising. Typically, doctors are going to want to see a HCG double in 48 hours. That signifies a normal pregnancy. Having said that, there are definitely successful pregnancies where this value doesn't quite double in 48 hours. The heart beat is appropriate for a 6 week gestation, but a little low for a 7 week gestation. Good luck!

Pregnancy: If the fetus is growing in size according to the us, it's encouraging. If it is not growing, then there is a problem. Hcg should be rising, the level of 4879 is not high and if it is rising in 48 hours significantly (roughly doubling), then it's not encouraging. As far as doomed or not, i cannot tell because there should be dynamic related (repeat us, repeat HCG level).
