Arthritis: Chances are when you did dislocate that the cartilage of your ankle joint did suffer some injury, without seeing any xrays...I would guess that your pain is from arthritis of the ankle joint: management- glucosamine-chondroiten supplement, otc or prescription nsaid...Failing that a cortisone injection into the ankle...

May need MRI: X-rays don't show everything. If the ankle continues to hurt after 6-8 weeks, an MRI is appropriate. The cartilage may have been damaged withing the joint or a ligament torn that needs repair. The MRI will diagnose these problems.
