Many possible: Reasons. Since i don't know what you mean by high, i'm going to assume that you're eating too much food or not taking an appropriate dose of medication. This needs to be discussed w/your doctor.

It depends: There are varying degrees of high blood sugar. When it is moderately high, you may feel fine other than some weakness etc and more frequent urination. If it is very high it can lead to a condition called diabetic ketoacidosis where can cause dehydration, kidney failure and death if not treated in a timely manner.
