Post-operative instr: No vigorous exercise, soft foods, no rinsing, spitting, sucking, straws, smoking or soda. I recommend no milk products for 72 hrs. Keep gauze in for about 30 minutes. Make sure it is damp when you gently remove it. Stay well hydrated and nourished.

No smoking, sof: Follow the instruction that the oral surgeon or dentist gives you. Generally you will need to have a soft diet, no smoking, no rinsing, no strenuous lifting for the first day. You may be prescribed a pain medication or antibiotic depending on the extraction.
