POI: I think that the dentist or oral surgeon that removed your tooth should have provided you with this information. Most advise to eat soft foods. Avoid chips, sodas, alcohol, tobacco. Anything that can traumatize the area more should be avoided.

Usually anything: Usually there are no restrictions other than really hot foods while your mouth is numb and anything that you have to suck through a straw because using a straw could lead to loss of clot and then a dry socket. I also tell people to avoid chips, nachos, etc so they don't cut the extraction site/clot.
