Complete eye exam: In a complete eye exam, an assistant will typically obtain your history, along with whatever medications and allergies you have. Then your visual acuities will be checked with a refraction to determine if you need glasses. The doctor will examine all of the structures in the front and back of your eyes, along with checking your eye pressures. Drops may be used to dilate your pupils temporarily.
