Swallowing dilute (3%) hydrogen peroxide, however, has been reported to cause the following problems: nausea and vomiting, burns in the mouth, throat, esophagus, and stomach, bleeding in the stomach, inflammation of the intestines, stomach ulcer, rupture of the colon.
