Yes: I find it more economical to offer the kid carnation breakfast essentials. It comes in several flavors in packets and is added to milk. The extra protein and vitamins in both products are similar.

Yes , but....: If your child needs a nutritional supplement for some reason, there are ones designed more for children, such as pediasure or boost. The better question is why do you need a supplement for a 3 year old? If they have some kind of chronic health problem, it may be appropriate, but otherwise children should get their nutrients from eating a varied, healthy diet; not get used to drinking out of can.

Toddler ensure : Slow growth due to decreased caloric intake may be one reason to use a supplement designed for toddlers. Encouraging a balanced diet, allow grazing and snacking with a variety of food choices is suggested as a starting point. If there is a GI condition such as chronic diarrhea,your child should see a specialist.
